Yours look fine. I've replaced caps on about 12 iMac G5 systems and they are usually VERY obvious when they go bad. By that I mean electrolyte spewing out of the tops. Out of those 12, 9 of them worked again after replacing the caps, so if that does happen your odds are pretty good that it can be fixed.

It's just that I'm in New York right now but I won't be in about two months. So the two months prior to my move in date I won't be in the city. I thought I could start the search now and be able to check out the place in person and sign the paperwork and whatnot.
The landlord said she has a current tenant whose lease is up a month before I move in, so my move in date works. However, I'm not allowed to see the place because there's someone living there right now and they have a "privacy policy." Is this normal?
However on her listings on the websites, one said the availability was Apr.1, and one said "now." So either she hasn't taken down the listings, or she is already looking for her next tenant? I have no idea how the whole renting thing works.
She did agree to meet face to face though. Should I ask her to bring some documents? Ownership papers perhaps?

Looking for a video surveillance DVR system manufacturer that makes a product which does not require IE to setup or manage. I run OS X and Linux Mint at home. I searched for previous threads but only found 6 year old topics.
Would like decent day/night video & picture surveillance

Do you prefer to work from one 'main' computer or more?
Using one main computer has it's benefits, everything is in one place, no juggling files or file syncing software. It's easy to stay focused working from one desktop.
But, if you have mobility in mind you'd need the computer to be a notebook and work with a limited screen size or add an external display .... but then there's the plugging/unplugging all day, files need to be kept in sync...
What's your setup like, one computer or two, how do you use them?

So you're trying to get a regular digital camera to work for webchat?
Just get a Macally IceCam. They're cheap (in the US :rolleyes: ) and they work well. You'd still need iChatUSB, but I know that iChatUSB works for sure with the IceCam, as that's what it says on the IceCam box. ;)
I don't use AIM or iChat though, and I use aMSN and my IceCam works out of the box. :)

Thing is, SandyBridge comes with slightly worse graphics. Would worse graphics affect music-creating software? I heard Garageband is GPU-intensive. Not so sure about Logic Pro.
Neither is what I would call GPU-intensive. As a matter of fact GarageBand '11 runs perfectly happilly on my iMac 1.83 Core Duo with a ATI X1600, and my MacBook White with a Intel X3100 - neither of which is remotely powerful compared to the GPU in my 11" Air. The situation is the same with Logic Pro, however the big downside with an Air is the lack of FireWire. If it fits in your workflow then a MBA w 4/8GB RAM should handle GarageBand/Logic Express/Logic Pro just fine (Heck my low-end 11"/1.4/2GB MBA handles Final Cut Pro for basic editing and even Motion 4 at a pinch, so Graphics definitely shouldn't be an issue).

If you've never used Cydia or TinyUmbrella to cache her iPad's SHSH files, having the 4.2.1 firmware on-hand will do you no good, as (I believe?) Apple has already stopped signing the 4.2.1 firmware.
If that's the case, you can only restore to 4.3.

Considering you're running the WORST version security wise of phpBB I'd suggest you update, it's not hard no matter how many MODs you have, and if you're that worried about it I could even do it for you...

Sorry to yell, but I built macthemesforums.net (http://macthemesforums.net) with phpbb and we all have been regretting it since about 3 months after the site launched. Security holes were the first major issue that we encountered... and now we have incredibly slow loading times and it is very hard to upgrade the software since we have made so many hacks to the default installation.
If you want lightweight and super fast, try PunBB (http://punbb.org).
If you want a powerful board with good support, use vBulleting or Invision Powerboard.
